Introduction
The aim of the project is to implement a Student Management system suitable for a University, providing flexibility to adapt to new and changing requirements. This Student management system is an automated version of manual Student Management System and using this software means securing the activities of the Student Management. The vision is to provide a progressive and expandable information service to staff, students and applicants.






Rationale:

The goal of this project is to create a system to maintain the details of students of university. It makes easy to maintain the student details than the manual system







Objectives:
§  improve self-service for both students and staff
§  provide greater end user (i.e. staff and student) interaction with key processes through using the student management system
§  improve the University's academic administration processes - leaving more time to concentrate on our core activities of teaching, learning and research
§  introduce a new student management system that interacts effectively with other University systems
§  improve communication between University business areas
§  improve  job conditions for staff involved in academic administration.
§  Effective Student  record Management means From student Registration to till the time of student leaving the school

Methodology
1.     Collect data
1.1.                     Meet the staff (Ms Janani) and get the details they are using for their manual work  of students management.(eg.register details, combination details etc).
2.     Discuss with the group
2.1.                     Discuss about the project works as ordering the collected informations, creating database tables,ER diagrams,etc.
3.     Talk with the proper person
3.1.                     Talk with the staff (customer) to know about their needs.
3.2.                     Questioning them for more details.
3.3.                     Know their satisfaction and problems.
4.     Fulfill the system for the students’ management.


Implementation plan: Monitor our project and send weekly progress through lms.The html,c#,My sql/Access will be used.

·          Utilize the requirements you received in the previous step to build a high-level prototype of the application

Complete and  the initial prototype and use it to gather additional, more detailed requirements from the customer

Build the project
Week 06 : (12.12.2011 – 18.11.2011)
Verify the project
Week 07 : (19.12.2011 – 25.11.2011)
Validate
Week 08 : (26.12.2011 – 01.01.2012)
Implementation testing
Week 09 : (02.01.2012 – 08.01.2012)
Implementation testing
Week 10 : (09.0 1.2012 – 15.01.2012)
·        Submit final project, do the final presentation and demo.
·        Deploy at respective places.
